The SDSU Undergraduate Program in Mathematics and Statistics is designed to give students a broad background in mathematics and simultaneously provide specialized paths leading to several of the best career options open to mathematicians and statisticians. Our Specialization in Mathematics Education and our Emphasis Areas in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Biology, Pure Mathematics, and Statistics provide students with well-defined courses of study that prepare them for rewarding careers in each of these areas.
