SDSU Computational Science and Statistics Ph.D. Program

The focus of Computational Science and Statistics (CSS) is the development and implementation of sophisticated mathematical and statistical models into high performance computer software for scientific applications.  It emphasizes the application of CSS techniques to the Biological Sciences and Financial Analysis.  The program will strongly support work in the fields of applied mathematics, statistics, biostatistics, and bioinformatics.  It is designed to be highly collaborative.  Students will typically take classes offered by departments and programs other than CSS, and will also typically work with two advisors, one from within the CSS program and one from another department, program, or business.
